RHV2 and RHV3 Unregulated DC/DC Converters

RCOM has introduced the RHV2 and RHV3 series of ultra-high isolation DC/DC converters with the output of 2W or 3W. The converters are designed with an ultra-high isolation rating of 12.5KVAC/one minute or 20kVDC/one second in a compact SIP16 package (45x15x17mm). Both the series of converters will have a nominal input of 5, 12 or 24V and a choice of 5, 12, 24 single or ±5 or ±12V dual outputs. Isolation capacitance is very low at 4pF (typical) and the parts comply with EN 55032 (class B) EMI limits with a simple external LC input filter.  Reliability is very high with MTBF at 14.6M hours for the RHV2 series at 25°C and for RHV3, it is 13.4M hours.

Features of RHV2 Series DC/DC Converters

  • 12.5kVAC/1 minute isolation
  • Compact SIP16 case with >30mm pin separation
  • Low 4pF max. isolation capacitance
  • Wide operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C at full load

Features of RHV3 Series DC/DC Converters

  • 12.5kVAC/1 minute isolation
  • Compact SIP16 case with >30mm pin separation
  • Low 4pF max. isolation capacitance
  • Wide operating temperature range from -40°C to +80°C at full load
  • Efficiency up to 81%

With more than 30mm input-to-output pin separation, the converters are certified to IEC/EN 62368 and IEC/EN 61010 for 12.5kVAC reinforced isolation up to 5000m altitude. For more information about the RHV2 and RHV3 series, visit the official website of RCOM.
