A critical question arises as the automobile industry gradually shifts towards eco-friendly options and sustainable solutions: How safe and time-efficient are these utilities in our daily lives?
FEV, a German based company, and ProLogium, a Taiwanese based company, have collaborated to develop LLCB technology (Large-Footprint Lithium Ceramic Battery) in an effort to introduce safer, more effective, and faster-charging batteries. LLCB technology can make the battery up to 300 kg lighter and uses solid electrolytes that are non-flammable, offering greater safety compared to traditional batteries.
Additionally, silicon anodes help the battery charge much faster, reducing charging time by over 80%. This means that the battery can be charged from 5% to 60% in five minutes, allowing the user to travel an average of 300 km. The space-saving design of the batteries allows the manufacturers to create new and innovative designs and gives them more flexibility in designing electric vehicles. The slim design of the battery makes maintenance easier and more economical. Along with that, the design allows the replacement of each cell rather than replacing the entire battery.
LLCB technology offers compact, eco-friendly, and high-performing batteries with a remarkable range of up to 1,000 km on a single charge. These batteries fulfill all the modern requirements of EV consumers, making them a promising development in the electric vehicle industry.
