DTDS’s booth at electronica India 2025 highlighted a cost-effective approach to vehicle lighting systems. The company stated that its Light Control Module offers a competitive advantage, being 25% lighter on the pocket when compared to other market options. Chand Hanif, Senior FAE at the company, walked us through a live demo of the module at the booth. He explained, "We have put that complete setup as a PCB on outside also," giving visitors "more clarity on LED brightness and all."
The system was designed to showcase each function individually, with switches allowing visitors to see the turn indicators, position lamps, and DRLs in operation both in the housing and on the exposed PCB. Looking at the PCB, a Renesas GreenPAK chip takes care of the logical side of things like timing control, brightness regulation, etc. An MPS (Monolithic Power Systems) device handles the power management side of the design. The LEDs themselves were supplied by Stanley Electric.
Chand emphasized, “These include all three functions. This is ready to go to the market, means you don't need to invest much time for development activity.” The company invited interested parties to reach out for technical specifications and partnership opportunities, positioning the platform as a turnkey solution for automotive manufacturers who’d like to reduce both development time and costs.
