KAGA FEI has announced the ES4L15BA1, an advanced Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) module for IoT applications. Designed for next-generation IoT devices, wearable technologies and healthcare & medical products, the module features a built-in antenna and measures just 3.25x8.55x1.00 mm, making it the smallest Bluetooth 6.0 compatible module. Its compact size, combined with certifications for Radio Law MIC (Japan), FCC (USA) and ISED (Canada), reduces development time and certification costs, enabling faster market readiness.
The ES4L15BA1 is powered by an Arm Cortex-M33 processor, a RISC-V coprocessor, 1.5MB of non-volatile memory and 256KB of RAM, offering high processing power and efficiency. The module supports the latest Bluetooth 6.0 standard, including channel sounding functionality for accurate distance measurement. This feature is especially beneficial for applications requiring reliable proximity-based operations, such as unlocking devices based on their distance. By integrating a pre-certified antenna, the module eliminates the need for external antenna designs, further simplifying the development process.
In addition to its compact design and performance, The ES4L15BA1 comes with PSA certification, simplifying the development of IoT devices with enhanced security. Sample availability is scheduled for February 2025 with mass production planned for September 2025.
