Difference between PNP and NPN Transistors?

Basic difference between the two is: NPN transistor conducts or Turns On, when a small positive voltage is applied to its base and PNP transistor  Conducts or Turns On, when a negative voltage (or ground) is applied to its base.Check this circuit to see the working both simultaneously
