A Reddit user has shared a project that turns an ordinary thermos into a smart flask with a real-time temperature display. This innovative creation leverages the CrowPanel -ESP32 IPS LCD Display, powered by the efficient ESP32-C3 microcontroller, to add functionality to a simple everyday item.

The core of the project is the CrowPanel ESP32 IPS LCD Display, a circular screen mounted on the flask's lid, which serves as the primary interface, showcasing the temperature in a clear, easy-to-read format. The display interface is built using LVGL 8 with the help of the SquareLine Studio UI designer, making it user-friendly and visually appealing.

A Thermistor is embedded in the design, ensuring accurate temperature readings of the beverage inside the flask. The ESP32-C3, known for its low power consumption, also supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. While no dedicated app exists for this project yet, the device can share data via Bluetooth, hinting at possible future upgrades.

The smart flask runs on a battery, with a special focus on safety. The creator has taken precautions to seal the battery compartment, avoiding leaks or contamination of the flask's contents.

This DIY smart flask demonstrates the potential of combining everyday items with modern technology. It not only adds functionality to a simple thermos but also offers an opportunity for tech enthusiasts to explore IoT integration and creative hardware solutions.
