Compact Deskimon for the Desk

Nowadays, many people enjoy keeping a small desk robot in their workspace. These little companions not only add a playful touch to the desk but also help bring out the inner child and provide a brief escape from daily stress. Among the latest additions to this trend is the Deskimon, a compact and creative 3D-printed desk robot. Unlike other desk robots that require separate components for the controller and display, the Deskimon combines everything into a single unit using the ESP32-S3 development board. This board features a 32-bit LX7 dual-core processor and a high-resolution 1.75-inch round AMOLED touch display with 466x466 pixels, enabling the robot to show expressive animations and perform interactive movements. With these features, the Deskimon feels lively and engaging, going beyond the static nature of typical desktop gadgets.

The Deskimon is designed to be both functional and versatile. It includes a QSPI interface for fast memory access and an onboard dual microphone array, which allows it to respond to sounds and environmental cues, adding a dynamic element to the interaction. Additionally, it has a speaker connection option, so users can expand its functionality by adding audio output.

The robot’s compact size ensures it fits easily on any desk without taking up much space, while its 3D-printed design allows for easy customisation and personalisation. This combination of technology and creativity makes the Deskimon not just a gadget, but a fun and interactive companion for everyday life.
