Vishay Intertechnology announced new VLD.1232 series of true green and blue colored ultrabright LEDs in small untinted surface-mount packages with dome lenses. The LEDs feature latest InGaN / Sapphire Technology and Narrow Emission Angle of ± 9° with High Luminous Intensity to 16000 mcd typical. The LEDs also feature high brightness and small 2.4mm x 2.4mm x 2.8mm plastic cases which makes it a compact and small sized. The devices are ideal for applications such as traffic signals and signs, interior and exterior lighting, and indicators and backlighting for audio and video equipment, LCD switches, and illuminated advertising.
The devices will be available in gullowing and reverse gullowing versions with high luminous flux, ESD voltage withstand up to 2 kV in accordance with JESD22-A114-B. The LEDs are luminous- and colour-categorized per packing unit. RoHS-compliant, halogen-free, and Vishay Green. The VLD.1232 series LEDs are well compatible with reflow soldering processes per J-STD-020 and processable according to JEDEC Level 2a.
