Triaxial Numechron Clock: a unique mechanical clock design

In the past years we have seen many types of DIY clock designs. Some of them were digital and some of them were mechanical. Each time the mechanical ones came with some interesting design choices. Today we are going to look at such a mechanical wonder. A maker named Shiura has created and shared his mechanical design called the Triaxial Numechron Clock. The term "triaxial" in its name refers to its unique method of displaying numerical digits. This design features three digit wheels on different axes X, Y and Z. Instead of the typical hands or digital display, this clock utilizes these three distinct rotating mechanisms to indicate the time. The entire clock is driven by a single 28BYJ-48 stepper motor. For controlling any microcontroller , such as an arduino , ESP32 or raspberry pi can be used.

All of the mechanical parts, with the exception of the fasteners, are 3D-printable. Siura was kind enough to share the whole 3D print files along with the Arduino code for the controller part. He also provided very detailed instruction on how to print those parts and assemble them with ease. If you are interested in making this mechanical wonder all the details can be found in his youtube video.
