Revolutionizing Agriculture: Tech Tour with Mobitech Wireless Solutions

Smart farming is revolutionizing the farming industry by incorporating technology into standard practices. Mobitech Wireless Solutions located in Tamil Nadu is leading this transformation by offering solutions that improve productivity and sustainability. In this article will delve into how Mobitech is reshaping the landscape of smart farming with its advanced products and technologies.

Introduction to Mobitech Wireless Solutions

Mobitech Wireless Solutions focuses on providing farming solutions such as soil moisture sensors, weather stations and automation controllers. Their aim is to equip farmers with technology that enhances irrigation and boosts crop production. The company's commitment to the Indian market is evident in its efforts to create products tailored to meet the requirements of farmers in India. To help us understand the products and landscape of smart farming solutions CircuitDigest team connected with the two key people driving Mobitech Wireless Solutions - Mr.Nalla Sivam, Director of R&D, and Mr.Raja Kumaran, Director of Sales & Marketing here are the highlights.

Understanding Smart Farming Solutions

Mobitech offers a variety of smart farming solutions that consist of soil moisture sensors, weather stations, water level controllers, solenoid valve controllers and motor controllers. These tools are aimed at assisting farmers in effectively monitoring and managing their farms resulting in improved productivity and efficient use of resources.

Smart Farm Demonstration

At Mobitech's showcase farm, a range of sensors and controllers are in place to demonstrate the collaboration of these technologies. The configuration features nodes that wirelessly connect to a control unit enabling farmers to access data on voltage, power usage, and watering plans.

The Master Controller

While there are multiple sensors and values deployed on a farm, everything is connected and controlled by the LoRa Master controller. The sensor like soil moisture sensor or weather station periodically sends the data to the Master controller using LoRa communication, this data is then sent to the could server for the farmer to be able to view on a mobile application.

The Master controller and the other nodes in the farm are IP658 rated to withstand the harsh conditions of a farm and are also powered by a solar panel and a lithium battery enabling the device to last even up to 48 hours without sunlight. Each of these master controllers can be connected to more than 20 nodes covering a distance of 3 kilometers around the master controller.

Key Components of Smart Farming

Soil Moisture Sensors

Soil moisture sensors play a role, in determining how much water different crops need. They give information, on moisture levels underground helping farmers decide when to water their plants. Mobitech offers different variations in this soil moisture sensor installation depth at 15cm, 25cm, and 45cm, based on the type of crop being monitored.

Weather Stations

The weather station tracks factors like wind speed, precipitation, and temperature. This data is crucial for farmers to evaluate watering requirements and make prompt choices about how to manage their crops.

Valve Controllers and Flow Meters

Based on the size of the farm being automated, there might be different water values to divert the water for required crops. With the help of the Mobitech mobile application farmers can pre-configure which part of the field should be watered and how much water should be used based on the existing moisture level in the soil for that particular day.

Motor Controllers and Monitors

Mobitech also offers a unique type of motor controllers which can not only turn on and off when needed but can also monitor voltage variations and fluctuations. This monitoring can help in taking protective actions like turning off the motor when there is bad voltage fluctuation thus increasing the life of the motor.

Manufacturing and Development

Every electronic part found in Mobitech's products is created and produced internally. The production process consists of steps such, hardware design, assembly, testing, and programming before the products reach customers.

Market Trends in Smart Farming

The smart farming solutions market is witnessing growth. With an increasing understanding of farming methods farmers are turning to technologies that boost efficiency and save resources. Mobitech is seizing this opportunity by providing customized for India solutions designed to cater to the requirements of Indian farmers. There has been a surge, in the sales of Mobitech products with daily installations hitting a remarkable eighty-five solenoid valves. This upward trend highlights the growing popularity of advanced farming solutions across India.

Challenges and Opportunities in Smart Farming

While the future looks bright there are obstacles, in embracing smart farming technologies. Farmers are often reluctant to shift from methods to automated approaches. Mobitech tackles these issues by offering tailored solutions that showcase advantages.

Moreover, with the changing agricultural landscape new opportunities for innovation keep emerging. Mobitech is currently delving into the realms of intelligence and machine learning to further improve their offerings.

The Future of Smart Farming

The outlook for agriculture appears promising, with progress in technology. Mobitech plans to incorporate satellite image analysis into their platforms offering farmers data. This feature will enable farmers to manage their crops and optimize resource distribution.

With their focus on innovation the company stays dedicated, to its goal of enhancing farming methods in India and other regions. Their work not helps farmers but also plays a role in promoting sustainable food production and safeguarding the environment.

Innovative Solutions Ahead

Mobitech is exploring advancements to incorporate satellite image processing into their technology. This development aims to offer farmers insights, into potential pest issues and water deficiencies in their crops.
