Littelfuse TPSMB-L TVS Diodes for 800V EV Battery Systems

New TPSMB-L Series Automotive TVS Diodes has been launched by Littlefuse specifically designed for Battery Management Systems (BMS) in 800V electric vehicles (EVs). They provide low clamping voltage (Vcl), offering superior protection for sensitive components like analog front End (AFE) ICs and Battery Management ICs (BMICs).

The TPSMB-L Series ensures functional safety compliance with ISO-26262, this makes the system more reliable and performs better. They can be used in a wide range of electric battery systems ideal for 14 to 20 cell BMS configurations. Handles high power up to 600W peak pulse power capability in a compact SMB DO - 214AA package.

In EV battery systems, unexpected voltage surges can happen due to switching, power fluctuations, or static electricity, which can harm AFE (Analog Front End) ICs and BMICs (Battery Management) ICs. These diodes act like a safety shield, quickly absorbing and redirecting excess energy to keep the system running smoothly. With fast response times, they stop harmful voltage spikes before they can cause problems.

For automakers and EV system designers the TPSMB-L Series ensures safe and reliable performance over time. Since they meet automotive safety standards (AEC-Q101 and ISO-26262), they are a trusted choice for making electric vehicles safer and more efficient.
