Western Digital has unveiled a suite of innovative solutions designed to redefine data centre storage capabilities. The upgraded OpenFlex Data24 3200 NVMe-oF JBOF/Storage Platform, coupled with the new RapidFlex A2000 and C2000 NVMe-oF fabric bridge devices (FBDs), along with the Ultrastar DC SN655 PCIe Gen 4.0 dual-port NVMe SSD, are set to transform the deployment landscape for NVMe and NVMe-oF (NVMe flash over fabric) technologies. Western Digital stands out as a comprehensive provider, covering the entire data journey from server initiation to storage target.

The OpenFlex Data24 3200 introduces a fully integrated NVMe-oF storage platform that optimizes the potential of NVMe flash within shared architectures. Through Ethernet-based resource sharing, the Data24 3200 enables better scalability, resource control, and storage efficiency. Utilizing the RapidFlex FBDs, up to six hosts can be attached without necessitating a switch, with scalability expanding to accommodate more hosts and platforms. The RapidFlex family, featuring the A2000 controller and C2000 adapter card, elevates shared storage across Ethernet fabrics, doubling performance and introducing initiator mode capabilities alongside existing features.

Meanwhile, the Ultrastar DC SN655 NVMe SSD caters to cloud, OEM, and enterprise needs, delivering high-capacity storage solutions for various workloads. With capacities ranging from 3.84TB to 15.36TB1, this dual-port SSD ensures continuous data access for high-availability requirements. The comprehensive offerings from Western Digital address the demands of modern data centres, providing efficient, reliable, and high-performance solutions for evolving storage needs.
