The latest video of Figure 02 shows that it performs 1,000 replacements in a day, which is indicative of the future improvements in the field of robotics. The robot demonstrates its precision and skill in the sheet metal insertion. This task required a high level of accuracy, but the robot performed it 1000 times a day, showing its future potential.
The test collab between BMW and Figure AI sparked the debate of the future integration of Figure 02 into the production facility of BMW, yet they have not confirmed any future collaborations yet. They are planning to bring in Figure 02 to the facility by 2025, but it has yet to be confirmed. Thus creating the seamless production unit with robots that tackle mountain tasks, which otherwise take up a large portion of the manufacturing time.
