Chennai-based company Artificial Electronics Intelligent Materials Limited (AEIM) has been allotted 11.28 acres of land in Kosala Industrial Park by the Nava Raipur Atal Nagar Vikas Pradhikaran (NRDA). Construction of a multi-storey semiconductor materials facility will begin immediately, using post-tensioned slab technology, which allows for quicker construction cycles through means such as reduced de-shuttering time.
The project involves an investment of ₹10,000 crore, which is eligible for capital subsidies of up to 40% under Chhattisgarh’s industrial policy. Equipment orders placed with manufacturers in Japan, South Korea, and the United States are now in production, with deliveries expected to keep pace with the project timelines. Reports indicate that the facility will produce sapphire ingots, which will be processed into wafers and serve as electronics substrates.
The first phase of construction should conclude in May 2026. Q3 2026 is the target set for commencing commercial production. The project ties in with India’s push for technological self-reliance and is expected to create in excess of 4,000 direct high-skill roles.
