New 100V and 120V TMBS Rectifiers Reduce Power Losses and Increase Efficiency

Vishay Intertechnology released four new 100V and 120V TMBS (Trench MOS Barrier Schottky) Rectifiers that offer up to 20 mV lower forward voltage than previous-generation devices. Available in TO-220AB package, the Vishay General Semiconductors V30100CI, V30120CI, V40100CI, and V40120CI rectifiers offer current ratings of 30A and 40A.

With their low forward voltage drop down to 0.36V at 5A, these rectifiers reduce power losses and improve efficiency in high frequency DC/DC converters, switching power supplies, freewheeling and ORing diodes, and reverse battery protection. The devices are suitable for 65W USB Type-C power delivery for notebook computers and mobile devices.

These rectifiers are RoHS-compliant and halogen-free, and feature a maximum operating junction temperature of +150 °C. Their TO-220AB package features solder bath temperatures of 275 °C maximum, 10s, per JESD 22-B106.
