Vishay Intertechnology has launched the MCB RAIK060, a high-precision inductive position sensor designed for industrial and AMS (automotive, marine, and aerospace) applications. This sensor is thinner, lighter, and faster than traditional magnetic-based solutions, making it a great fit for applications working in demanding environments.
The RAIK060’s inductive technology allows it to work well in areas with high magnetic interference, making it perfect for robotics, motor drives, conveyor belt control, and automated guided vehicles. It is also useful for the missile guiding system, actuator positioning in drones and also in modern aircraft, including commercial, regional, and eVTOL models.
Vishay’s RAIK060 is designed for hollow shaft mounting which provides a full 360° electrical angle and operates in temperatures ranging from -40°C to +105°C. This makes Vishay’s RAIK060 a great choice for applications that require precise positioning, such as wind turbines, cleaning robots, telecom antennas, and medical equipment.
RAIK060 supports SPI, SSI, and Biss-C output signals and is available in multi-turn variants and can operate in challenging conditions like moisture, airborne debris, vibrations, shocks and temperature fluctuations.
RAIK060 is easy to setup, as it has self calibration feature, which makes it ready for operation with out much loss of time and energy. Additionaly, it has added features like remembering the last position before shutdown and has self monitoring features to improve safety and giving reliable position sensing in demanding industrial, robotics, and aerospace applications.
