NVIDIA has announced plans to manufacture AI supercomputers entirely within the United States. The company is partnering with established manufacturers to design and build new facilities that will produce and test NVIDIA Blackwell chips in Arizona. This marks a significant step in localizing production and strengthening the supply chain for AI infrastructure.
The company is setting up supercomputer manufacturing plants in Texas in collaboration with Foxconn in Houston and Wistron in Dallas. Mass production at these new plants is expected to ramp up within the next 12 to 15 months. Production at these facilities will provide a secure and efficient route for building dedicated AI supercomputers. In addition to chip fabrication, NVIDIA is partnering with Amkor and SPIL for packaging and testing operations in Arizona. The company will use advanced AI, robotics and digital twin technologies including NVIDIA Omniverse for digital simulation and NVIDIA Isaac GR00T for robotics to design and manage these modern facilities. These measures ensure precision and efficiency throughout the manufacturing process.
Over the next four years, NVIDIA plans to produce up to half a trillion dollars of AI infrastructure in the United States by leveraging partnerships with TSMC, Foxconn, Wistron, Amkor and SPIL. This initiative is projected to create numerous job opportunities and boost economic security by establishing a resilient supply chain for AI supercomputers across the country.
