Cyient Joins GlobalFoundries Channel Network For Advanced Semiconductors

Cyient Semiconductors signed a channel partner agreement with GlobalFoundries (GF), which makes it an authorized reseller of GF’s semiconductor manufacturing services as well as technologies. The company started its semiconductor division in April 2025 to offer turnkey application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) solutions. Through this partnership, it can now provide clients with access to GlobalFoundries’ fabrication services, technical consultation, design enablement, assembly, testing, and other value-added services.

The goal is to help speed up innovation and reduce time-to-market for companies in sectors such as automotive, industrial, medical, and communications. Cyient has set up a dedicated team to take care of technical support and ensure that everything is smooth service-wise across the entire development cycle, all the way from concept to production.

GlobalFoundries is a U.S. chip-making company that works with big names like Apple, Intel, and Qualcomm. Though the company does not have a semiconductor fabrication facility in India, it still has a workforce of over 1,000 employees in the country. Cyient’s CEO, Suman Narayan, said that the deal helps them support design-only chip companies using GF’s advanced services. He also added that combining GF’s tools with Cyient’s full-chip design services will help drive innovation in the sector. Samuel Vicari, Chief Customer Officer at GlobalFoundries, believes that Cyient’s skills and customer focus make them a great partner for growing GF’s global partnerships.
