Altium, a global company specializing in electronic design systems announced the acquisition of Milwaukee-based Part Analytics on January 21, 2025 in San Diego, California. The acquisition integrates Part Analytics advanced AI-powered platform into Altium’s ecosystem, offering effective solutions for managing large-scale component planning and purchasing, especially for enterprises.
This move brings a component and parts management tool into Altium 365, Altium’s cloud-based collaboration platform. This addition aims to assist Electronics Supply Chain and Category Managers by improving coordination between design, sourcing and procurement teams. The acquisition also enhances Altium’s enterprise-level solutions by adding advanced supply chain capabilities, helping to manage the full lifecycle of electronics.
Aram Mirkazemi, President of Altium highlighted the importance of this acquisition in advancing Altium’s goal of building a connected electronics value chain. “Part Analytics will play an essential role in improving the electronics industry through our Electronics Lifecycle Management system” he said. The integration aligns with Altium’s vision of combining design and procurement processes, making it easier for customers to handle their operations. Part Analytics, founded by former supply chain experts from GE HealthCare brings significant experience and knowledge to the electronics sector. Its AI-driven platform is designed to simplify supply chain operations by cutting costs, improving efficiency and building resilience.
