RECOM has released the new RS 12-Z Series of DC/DC converters in the industry-standard SIP-8 Package. The devices offer a full 12W output in the footprint of 2cm². These devices feature 4:1 inputs of 9 – 36V or 18 – 75V with surge ratings to 50V and 100V respectively, and regulated single outputs of 3.3, 5, 12, 15 or 24V, all trimmable +/-10% and with remote on/off control.

RS 12-Z series comes with short circuit and under-voltage protection along with 3kVDC/1s isolation and EN 62368-1 certification. EN 55032 class A or class B EMC levels are met with a simple, low-cost external filter. The series is designed with a metal casing for EMI shielding as well as the enhanced thermal performance with case tabs providing mechanical stability and additional heat sinking to the customer’s PCB.
