how to measure current draw of your electronic circuits?

hello,

I am making a 24v flasher circuit and i want to know how much current my circuit is consuming.

So what is the possible and easiest method to check this..

can we use multimeter fo this purpose?

If you had mentioned the range and accuracy with which you have to measure the current, the answer would have been more relevant. Anyway by 24V Flasher circuit I assume you are building something like this

As you can see in this project the current the current goes as high as 1.5A only so it is safe to use a multi meter or clamp meter to measure current. If you are using a multimeter you have to change the probes and connect the meter in series, more details on how to use a multimeter to measure DC current can be found here

On the other hand if you are using a clamp meter you only have to clamp the meter to wire and you can measure the current through that wire without disturbing the circuit.
