I'm just mounting a servo to an arduino to automate feeding my cats. Should be pretty simple soldering of just like 3 pins, right? No need to buy the breadboard?
Also, I'm a total beginner. Other than the arduino and the servo, what else do I have to have to make this project work? Do all arduinos have built in wifi? I will be controlling it via node-red. Thanks!

PermalinkNo, arduino doesn't have wifi inbuilt. You should use a nodemcu instead for enabling wifi capability. For easy understanding of connection you can use a breadboard and you will also need connectors and power supply for nodemcu.one similar project is given below:
