Hi,
While go through the project for "Automatic hand sanitizer" https://circuitdigest.com/microcontroller-projects/automatic-hand-sanitizer-dispenser-with-covid19-live-updates, there are two below queations come in my openion in respect of life lasting of DC submersible pump motor and relay used for this project.
1) Mini DC Submersible Pump:- As the pump is to be frequntly on and off , will this low cost (pic attached) pump able to operate and withstand that all frequent () on/off operation, if so then will not be the life cycle of this pump very poor.
The pump is to be immersed in liquid/sanitizer, if the liquid level goes down below of the pump, the pump will get damaged, so life of the pump is also questionable here too.
In a straight-way , I want to know, is there any excellent quqlity of pump available in market for these type of oprtation?
2) Relay used in a relay module:- this also be the questionable for the life cycle of relay. can be used as a substitute of relay other component like triac and n-mosfer to drive the pump for which can last the system for long?
I hope i will get all your positive feedback for above two questions...
Thanks..
Thanks for your reply,
So, it it better to chose 12V DC Peristaltic Pump Miniature Dosing Hose Pump
Or
DC 365 MICRO DIAPHRAGM SELF-PRIMING WATER PUMP 12V
If not shall you send refer particular name of the pump.
Thanks..
Will it(365 MICRO DIAPHRAGM) withstand all such frequency of on-off operation and be long lasting.
Or is there any other more better is available.
Please suggest..
Hi Saj, 365 MICRO DIAPHRAGM can server your purpose very well. You can also use another pump in the name "Ultra-quiet DC 12V 3 m 240 L/H Brushless Submersible DC pump" for your purpose.
Debasis Parida
PermalinkHi Saj, thanks for your pertinent observations in the said project. As per a product design is considered, you can use efficient miniature pumps available. And for swiching you can use MOSFET to do the same, as we are using a DC pump.Hope it helps!!!
