diy self balancing robot

Submitted by Jay-Dee on

Is it possible to add remote direction control to to the diy self balancing robot? Has anyone already done this with bluetooth or other control?

Many people have build self balancing robots with remote control.

But I would advise you to build a bot that balances itself first, then you can add on remote control feature to it whcih should be easy. I did build a self balancing bot wihout remote control sometimes back, you can find build detials about it here

Aswinth Raj, thank you for replying to this post. I have just finished making the self balancing robot which you referred to, and would like to add remote control to it. at present it is running around like a demented chicken, and obviously needs tuning of the sofware. Many people make videos showing their working robots but few answer questions posed by viewers, this is the reason why I came to this site, as I thought I might get some answers. Thank you from Jay-Dee.

LOL this is where all the fun starts. PID tuning is fun and challenging at the same time. Have you finished tuning your parameters? Is it balancing now?

IF yes you can proceed with remote control, the easy and slow way is to use a HC-05 bluetooth module and control it with your phone. If you need faster responce then you can go with NRF24L01
