Project Idea
Charging stations powered by vehicles itself

Our idea is to create electric charge stations powered by speed breakers so as to explore a new source of
renewable energy in places where vehicles are constantly crowded. This will also have an impact in
promoting electric vehicles as well as reducing carbon emissions.
The flow of traffic on rushed load is controlled by the use of speed breakers. The annual rate of motor
vehicle growth in India is increasing day by day. The weight of vehicles in terms of potential energy can be
utilized for electricity generation purposes.
The proposed plan aims to revolutionize the energy industry by developing a novel approach to generate
clean and sustainable energy from speed breakers and humps on roads. This energy will be used to power
electric charging stations for electric vehicles, promoting the growth of the electric vehicle industry and
reducing carbon emissions. The project will employ a software that monitors and stores the energy to
ensure efficient and effective use of the generated energy.

Basic Working :
The electromechanical energy harvesters are installed in the speed breakers and humps to
convert the mechanical energy generated by moving vehicles into electrical energy. The rectifier
circuit is used to convert the AC voltage generated by the electromechanical energy harvesters
into DC voltage, which is required to charge the batteries. The battery bank is a bank of batteries
that are charged by the rectifier circuit and used to store the generated electrical energy.

The charge controller Is used to regulate the charging of the battery bank and prevent
overcharging. The inverter is used to convert the DC voltage stored in the battery bank into AC
voltage, which is required to power the electric charging stations. The electric vehicle charging
station is a station that is connected to the inverter and is used to charge electric vehicles.
The monitoring and control software is used to monitor the energy generation, storage, and
usage, ensuring optimal use of the generated energy. The power conditioning unit is used to
condition the AC voltage generated by the inverter to ensure that it meets the required standards
for electric vehicle charging.
A highly collaborative dashboard helps with proper analysis and maintenance of the system.
Additionally, a mini version of this dashboard could be made available to the users, thus they
could know the energy available at these stations thus making effective traffic management.
