Lemontron DIY 3D Printer

James has announced the completion of his 3D printer called Lemontron, a new portable printer that combines smart design with a minimalist approach. Designed to fit inside a standard filament box, the Lemontron offers a surprising 180 x 180 x 165mm print volume which is comparable to popular desktop printers like the Prusa Mini, but with a completely different philosophy.

The printer’s unibody chassis reduces the need for extra parts, while key components like the extruder and power supply are tucked neatly inside. It’s a refreshing move in a field where external add-ons and bulky frames are often the norm. By using mostly 3D-printed parts and cutting out unnecessary CNC machining, the Lemontron makes itself easy to build for hobbyists and makers without compromising on functionality.
