In the company’s Q4 FY25 earnings call, it was disclosed that SAMIL’s aerospace revenue went up from ₹339 crore in FY24 to ₹1,749 crore in FY25. Confirming its status as a Tier-1 supplier to Airbus, it is now entering the semiconductor equipment supply chain through a new greenfield facility.
At present, the aerospace vertical contributes across all major commercial aircraft platforms, including the Airbus A320/21, A330, A350, and Boeing B737, B767, B777, and B787. SAMIL also supports the full LEAP engine family. In addition to aerospace, the company is now working on a new greenfield project to manufacture components used in semiconductor fabrication equipment. “Building on the capabilities of the aerospace division, we are setting up a new greenfield to supply components for equipment used to manufacture silicon wafers,” said Vaman Sehgal, Deputy CEO of SAMIL.
The new facility is expected to address broader applications in the semiconductor, electronics, and precision manufacturing space over time. The company is stepping up investments in high-tech verticals such as PCBs, consumer electronics, and defense. With the greenfield projects underway in Bengaluru and Europe, the aerospace vertical is expected to support cross-sector integration.
