3V ruggedized ENYCAP capacitors for energy harvesting and power backup applications

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc has introduced a series of 3V ruggedized ENYCAP capacitors for energy harvesting and power backup applications in harsh and high humid environment.  The 235 EDLC- HVR ENYCAP capacitors are electrical double layered, high voltage energy storage devices that can offer useful life of 2000hours at +85 °C  and meet the high class of moisture resistance: the biased 85 °C / 85 % RH 1500-hour test. These new devices have a doubled lifetime when compared with other standard electrical double layer capacitors along with maintenance free operation and design flexibility.

 

235 EDLC HVR ENYCAP capacitors can offer high power density at 5F to 60F capacitance range, they are available in 15 small case sizes ranging from 10x20mm to 18x40mm . The RoHS-compliant devices feature rapid charge and discharge performance and are available in through-hole versions. The 3V ruggedized ENYCAP can be used in a wide range of industrial, renewable energy, and automotive applications, including smart meters, handheld electronics, robotics, solar panels, E-latch door systems, and emergency lighting.
