Stepper motor - changing direction of rotation

Submitted by antonio on Sat, 08/20/2016 - 04:58

I want to use a stepper motor to steer front wheels of a model car. Of course, this vehicle must go to right an to the left. I think that this solution  http://circuitdigest.com/electronic-circuits/stepper-motor-driver does not apply. I've read that this inversion is accomplished inverting steps sequence, but I do not know how to do that (...). Steer control should be achived by an potenciometer or multi positions  selector as steering wheel. I would need some help, if possible

Hi,

Yes you can easily do this by inverting the step sequence , as you know there are four wires for controlling the stepper motor and lets say these wires are A,B,C and D then you have to send 1 from A to D if you wanna move it in one direction and now if you want to move it in opposite direction then you have to give 1 from D to A. If you are still having problem then let me know and i will help you out.

Thanks.
