Creating independent circuits from one power supply

First, if this is not the place for absolute beginners to post questions I apologize.

I am new to electronics and this site.

I just learned about voltage divider and current divider circuits.  Is this how computer power supplies are able to provide multiple independent power lines from one power source?  Or how would you go about isolating two parts of a DC circuit such that they don't affect each other.

Thanks

A computer supply uses multiple taps high frequency smps transformers without multiple tap secondary isolation. So, each secondary ports are not isolated rather comes from a secondary single coils having multiple tap output. You need isolated coils insted of single one to isolate the supply.

Since you are learning ohms law, the resistors has limitations of wattage thus it is very inefficient on voltage divider if lots of current will be drawn from the output.
