How to determine if my product is production fit or not?

I am somewhat noob in power electronics.Let's say I am designing a 12 volt 1A power supply. (AC-DC) using some topology. What all testings should I do to tell whether my product is production fit or not(not hobby ones') both after circuit design and pcb assembly? Also please tell for other hardware products like embedded systems etc.

what do you mean by produciton fit? Is it reliablility? Manufacturability? in what sense are you judging the circuit?

Production fit in the sense to be used for commercial purposes like industries, homes etc. Yes reliability is a bigger parameter here.

A circuit has two point of view in terms of commercial encounter.

1. The reliability. It is difficult to say what are the specific parameter for the reliability test without knowing the application of the circuit. A circuit should produce proper durability within the operable circumstances. In such case you need to test the circuit in various continuous operating parameters.

2. The manufacturability. A well tested circuit sometimes fails in manufacturing section. You need to select proper PCB design tacticts, Proper assembly planning and the ease of production. Check the placements of the component, ask the PCB assembly vendor how they solder things? Wave soldering needs different design cleareance than the Soldering Bath.
