hi , i have a power supply of epson eb-x41 projector that doesn't turn on . i haven't found the problem yet but in the power supply circuit it has 2 ics that i couldn't find any datasheet or just a little data about them, i think they should be switching ics but it's so strange for me why there is no data about them?!
thanks for your reply, i know the problem is power supply and dis board is power supply
Those ICs are FA8A01 and FA5612.
They fail rarely.
Do following things -
1. Check for fuses if they are destroyed, obviously if there are fuses only then you could check.
2. Check diodes if they failed.
4. The incliming wire with the white JST connector, are there sufficient voltage arriving? There should be DC voltage. What are the values?
If you are sure buy those. THey are not hard to find.
thanks, fuses are healthy and i think no one of the pins on the 10-pin output connector has voltages, because smps is off and it should get command from the main board from optocouplers. i should know how can i check if that command doesn't come or it exists and the smps doesn't work properly
It is marely difficult to state at this point as there is no proper schematic. Check with scope if possible but it is a laborious job.

PermalinkEpson uses custom made ICs fabricated from china in bulk quantities. This is a problem to get the actual data over internet. Did you getting proper power in the main board? Possibilities are power issue from the SMPS module.
Thanks.
