My digital oscilloscope has a built-in signal generator which produces an output of between +2V and -2V.
As part of a physics experiment I want to faithfully amplify this centre-crossing signal, with a bandwidth of at least 20KHz, to generate a current of up to 5mA through a block of soil of resistance 10KOhms. Thus I need to amplify my +/-2V signal to +/-50V - a factor of x25.
Power is supplied by a 12V Pb-acid gel battery.
What is the simplest reliable amplifier design which can achieve this?
