Problem in breadboard power

Submitted by G on

hello,

I am making the fingerprint based voting system using arduino and after installing the lcd display and connecting it with the arduino the display works fine but the rest part of the breadboard of 830tie is not getting the power. In the image link given from the push button part the power is not getting supplied. Can anyone help me with the solution. Also I am using the power that is being given from laptop usb port no other power source is used.

I am not sure which circuitdiagram you are referring to since no image is provided. But since this is power supply issue you can simply use a multi-meter to measure the voltage across the device terminals. Make sure you are getting 5V from the USB port and also make sure the vss pin and gnd pin of the sensor is also powered with 5V

I'm not sure what type of breadboard you are using, as there are various types of breadboards available in market. One the most commonly used breadboard is the one with 0-60 rows and A-J columns; there are two power rails at both sides, which are divided into 2 parts, upper half and lower half. Both of these halves not connected with each other, to transfer power or signal from upper half to lower one, we need to short the both lines of upper and lower half. Also by using digital multi-meter, you can check the voltage at both halves and perform the continuity test to verify both the upper and lower halves are connected or not. Here I suggest you to visit SSLA and contact with their technical support team for getting more assistance in any of your project work.
