7th India-Germany Inter-Governmental Consultations (IGC), New Delhi, October 25, 2024 – India and Germany are significantly expanding their partnership in the semiconductor sector, highlighting a shared commitment to strengthen local manufacturing and innovation. During high-level discussions in New Delhi, both countries confirmed their dedication to advancing semiconductor production and technology, marking a crucial step towards enhancing India’s high-tech manufacturing capabilities. This collaboration aligns with India’s strategic focus on building a self-sufficient semiconductor ecosystem to meet the increasing demand for digital infrastructure, especially in light of global supply chain challenges.

The Indo-German Strategic Partnership has seen impressive growth, with new investments exceeding 1 billion EUR across several key sectors.
