NVIDIA's AI Summit in Mumbai from October 23-25 at the Jio World Convention Centre, promises to be an exciting event that will bring together leading experts from India and across the world to discuss AI innovation. NVIDIA has also taken a big step in strengthening its partnership with India by proposing to create a special AI chip for the country. Reports indicate that NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang shared this proposal with Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier this year. India’s large skilled workforce in semiconductor design is a key reason for this proposal. The chip could be specially designed for Indian projects like improving the security systems of Indian Railways. This move aligns well with India’s goals under the AI Mission and Semiconductor Mission and it could boost the country's presence in the global semiconductor market.
The summit will also highlight India’s growing startup ecosystem, especially through NVIDIA’s Inception program, which supports around 2,000 startups in India. These startups are developing AI solutions across many sectors and will be a major focus at the event.
