Dear Forum members,
I am not experienced when it comes to electronics so go easy on me...
I am trying to figure out what is wrong with the power supply to a light source. I think it is the dimmer switch on the circuit but I have never come across one of these. if you look at the attached picture, there are 2 green wires and 2 black. the 2 black ones are to the variable resitor, the green ones to the 230v power supply. there is however no continuity over the 2 green wires so I think something burnt inside. I have however never seen anything like this before and don't understand why there would be a need to make 2 terminals on the dimmer just to pass the live wire. Anyone experienced in prehistoric electronices on here? also, if I am right, where can I buy these relics?
kind regards,
Jan
