Soldering

Hi

This may be a basic question but can someone please tell me how I'm supposed to connect a cable to these?

I assumed the end part would crimp onto the insulation and the core would then be soldered onto the inner part, but I can't get the solder to stick to the connector.  I'm sure they were described as solder connectors.  Could it be a temperature problem?  I think I'm getting it hot enough but I haven't soldered cables before.  What size soldering iron bit should I be using for something like this?

Thanks

I managed to get this done.  I was holding the connector in a metal clamp which was acting as a heatsink.  I saw a tip saying to drill a hole in a piece of wood to hold the connectors and that worked perfectly.  Hope this helps any beginners like me.

Sorry about that.  I'm not really into google drive and all that stuff, I'm more old school.  I thought I'd set it to anyone with the link but I must have got it wrong.  I'll make sure next time.
