Hi, i have recently purchased the newly launched Raspberry Pi 4 Model B with 1 GB RAM. Everything gone right till delivery. But when i tried to Power it up with USB Type C cable. The Raspberry Pi was not powering up and power led was not glowing also. although when i changed the USB Type C cable again tried with other old cable the raspberry Pi 4 was able to power up and all leds were glowing including power led. I thought the USB Type C cable is damaged but i tried with other devicesand it was working. this means all USB Type C cables are okay but Raspberry Pi 4 only powered up with some of them. i went through several forums cannot get the answer as it is a new model of Raspberry Pi and people are still experimenting it. Any lead would be appreciated.
ohh great. it means that raspberry pi 4 was not tested with this before releasing. haha. thank you for the info.
Hi Amelia! There's a post from the raspberry pi community about some features of the newly launched product raspberry pi 4, there's mentioned that pi 4 only accept various type of USB Type-C cables with its power USB port. It looks like the raspberry pi foundation just launched this pi 4 for testing purpose and to get feedback from creators/users. It's mentioned that this issue will resolve in future boards’ revision. Here I would like to suggest you to get connect with the technical support team of SSLA for getting better assistance regarding any products like this.

Most Raspberry Pi 4 booting issues are due to the HDMI cable being connected to the wrong port. Be sure to use the left-hand connector, HDMI0. It isn't only the Raspberry Pi 4 that can have problems booting.

PermalinkHie amelia, going through a recent raspberry pi 4 news, the raspberry pi foundation has confirmed that Raspberry Pi 4 Won't Work with Some USB Type-C Cables. The single-board computer Raspberry Pi 4 won't turn on when connected to certain USB Type-C cables
The fact behind this reason is that a smart charger with an e-marked cable will incorrectly identify the Raspberry Pi 4 as an audio adapter accessory, and refuse to provide power. these e-marked cables contains chips that checks the cable's characteristics.
The raspberry pi foundation has confirmed that this will be fixed in a future board revision, but for now users will need to apply one of the suggested workarounds.
