How to Make a Substitute for the Garmin gear

Arduino and Raspberry Pi

I wold like to make a a GPS module combined with a portable computer with a LCD display device like the raspberry -pi  or else that would be a substitute for the Garmin gear  i.e that  coordinates information gathered by the GPS module would be displayed on the LCD I would thank you a lot if you may link me to the corresponding links regarding this  information where it would be possible to get the appropriate hardware and software for this task

Hi viteri,

Yes it is very easy to build your Idea. All you have to do is interface the GPS module and LCD with PI. Then write a python script to read the co-ordinates position from the GPS module and display it in a LCD screen.
