Overview
India Design Challenge 2026 is a nationwide hardware innovation initiative, organized by CircuitDigest in collaboration with Mouser Electronics and Analog Devices (ADI), to encourage the next generation of application-focused hardware innovators to build practical solutions for real-world challenges. The challenge invites engineering students, startups, researchers, makers, and industry professionals to develop practical electronic systems using ADI technologies for applications across IoT, medical electronics, robotics, edge computing, drones, healthcare/wearable, and energy storage systems.

Participants are encouraged to think beyond proof-of-concept demonstrations and focus on practical implementation, system-level integration, reliability, sensing accuracy, signal processing, power optimization, edge intelligence, and real deployment relevance.
Whether you are designing a precision sensing platform, industrial monitoring system, intelligent healthcare device, energy optimization solution, robotics controller, or AI-enabled edge system, India Design Challenge 2026 encourages participants to build solutions with clear application value, technical depth, and real-world impact.

Turn Your Ideas into A Real Hardware Project
Participants can begin by registering for the contest and submitting their project idea through the contest portal. The selected ideas will receive a ₹3,500 Starter Grant to begin building their project using ADI components purchased from Mouser Electronics.
All successfully completed project submissions will receive an additional ₹3,500 Completion Reward, along with certificates and exclusive goodies. Submitted projects will also compete for ₹2,00,000+ in cash prizes.
Build Support & Recognition
Apart from the starter grant to build your project and the completion reward to complete and submit your project, we are also giving away cash prizes for the top three projects. All participants who have completed the challenge will also get certificates and free goodies to appreciate their efforts.

How to Participate?
Step 1: Register
Create your account and register for India Design Challenge 2026. If you are participating as a team, each member must register individually.
Step 2: Submit Your Project Idea
Submit your hardware project idea through the contest portal. Your project should clearly demonstrate how at least one ADI component is used within the overall system design. If you are new to ADI, explore the resources section where we have curated few components and development boards to help you get started.
Step 3: Get ₹3,500 Starter Grant
The top 50 selected project ideas will receive a ₹3,500 Starter Grant to purchase the required components and begin building their projects. Selected participants will be contacted directly with further instructions.
Step 4: Build Your Project
Use ADI components from Mouser Electronics along with any additional hardware required to turn your idea into a functional hardware project. Participants are encouraged to focus on video presentation and documentation cealry illustrating robust hardware implementation, PCB/system design, embedded software, sensing accuracy, signal integrity, power optimization, mechanical integration, and reliable real-world operation.
Step 5: Create Project Documentation & Video
Prepare detailed project documentation including circuit diagrams, source code, images, design files, and a short 60-sec vertical project pitch video. Well-presented submissions with clear documentation and engaging project videos will have a better chance of winning the final prizes. Clearly communicate the engineering decisions, system architecture, testing methodology, performance metrics, and application relevance of your solution. You can also refer to our sample project and sample video.
Step 6: Earn ₹3,500 Completion Reward
Successfully complete and submit your project through the contest portal to receive an additional ₹3,500 Completion Reward, along with certificates and exclusive goodies.
Step 7: Compete for Cash Prize
All completed project submissions will be evaluated by industry experts and judges. The top 3 projects will win exciting cash prizes worth over ₹2,00,000.

What Makes a Strong Submission?
Each project will be evaluated based on the following judging criteria, with a total score of 100 points. The points are split as follows:
- Hardware Design & Implementation [30 points]: Projects will be evaluated based on the quality of hardware design, embedded software, PCB/system integration, reliability, functionality, and overall engineering execution. Additional consideration will be given to custom hardware development, firmware design, mechanical integration, and supporting software tools.
- Documentation & Video Demonstration [30 points]: A short 60-sec vertical video to introduce you and your project. Showcase the working of your project. Clearly communicate the design approach, implementation process and performance results. Supporting materials such as circuit diagrams, source code, images, and design files should be properly documented.
- Effective use of ADI components [25 points]: Projects will be evaluated based on the effective and meaningful use of Analog Devices (ADI) components purchased from Mouser Electronics.
- Practical Impact & Scalability [15 points]: Projects that solve practical problems and demonstrate potential for real-world implementation or future scalability will receive additional consideration.
