I need the simplest way to design a line follower robot. It should follow a black line. Please provide me the circuit diagram with the list of components.

Hi..it is vey easy to build a line follower robot. You just need a pair of IR transmitter receiver. Install it at the bottom of the robot. To power it install a small 9 V battery through 7805. To detect the output of IR pair use the 555 IC. Also you can do the same using 8051 or AVR.
