Smart Bin
Arduino UNO R4 WiFi

This project involves creating a smart bin system that uses a proximity sensor and capacitive pressure sensor fabric to monitor waste levels. The proximity sensor detects when trash reaches a certain height, while the fabric senses the pressure and distribution of the waste. Real-time data from these sensors allows the Arduino to notify users when the bin is full. Additional sensors, like gas and temperature sensors, can enhance the system by monitoring internal conditions, making it a comprehensive waste management solution.

Expanding this concept to a network of smart bins that communicate with each other and a central monitoring system offers significant benefits in large facilities. This network can optimize waste collection by providing real-time fill level data, reducing operational costs, and improving hygiene. Moreover, data from additional sensors can help prevent hazards and ensure safety, while analysis of collected data can inform waste reduction and sustainability practices.
