NON-INTRUSIVE WILD LIFE DETECTION USING AI AND SENSORS

In forests where humans are at risk of being attacked by wildlife such as elephants or wild pigs, it's often difficult to identify which animal is responsible. This lack of information makes it challenging to implement effective safety measures. There is a need for a non-intrusive system that uses AI and hardware like sensors or camera traps to automatically identify and record the presence and behavior of wildlife near human activity. This system should help in quickly determining the species involved in any incidents, allowing for better protection strategies and reducing the risk of future attacks.

To achieve this, I am going to use the SIPEED MAXDUINO IoT Kit, which offers a robust platform for integrating various modules. The system will include a combination of a microphone module, camera module, and communication module. The camera module will capture images and videos of the wildlife, enabling the system to visually identify and record the animals' presence. The microphone module will capture audio data, which can be used to detect and analyze specific animal sounds, providing an additional layer of identification and behavior analysis.

By leveraging the SIPEED MAXDUINO IoT Kit's processing power, the system will efficiently run AI models to analyze the captured data and identify wildlife in real time. Integrating these modules with a communication system, the project will facilitate real-time transmission of alerts and data to forest management teams, enabling them to respond swiftly to any potential threats. This approach will not only improve safety for humans but also contribute to better wildlife management and conservation efforts.
