The idea of the smart parking system is to automate the parking in various shopping malls, cinema halls, airports and many more.
The working of this project is to check the parking place arability and make effective cost management automatically. This will use Arduino UNO R4 Wi-Fi along with RFID tags and detect the vehicle owner and count the time to charge the effective amount.
WORKING: The vehicle owner will have a RFID Tag registered in his name and when any space is free and the customer wants to park the vehicle, as soon as the RFID Tag is scanned the timer will start and will the record the time for which the car is parked. After which when the car is unparked, by scanning the RFID Tag then the timer for the particular vehicle will stop and the charges will be deducted accordingly.
NOTE: The vehicle owner might not be a regular customer in that case the owner will not have a RFID Tag/ card. Then he can purchase a temporary TAG and will be able to access the system.
This will keep track of the real time data that will help the users. I might also create an app(not sure but might develop so that customers can check which parking is free and take decision accordingly) or may be a web dashboard.
