Project Idea: IoT-Based Water Pollution Monitoring RC Boat
The project aims to develop an autonomous RC boat using IoT and Arduino Uno R4 to monitor water quality in real-time, transmitting data to a web platform for analysis. Key components include sensors for pH, turbidity, temperature, and optional humidity, along with an Arduino Uno R4 controller. A Wi-Fi module (ESP8266) enables real-time data streaming, while a propeller system and servo motor handle propulsion and steering. Users will control the boat and view real-time data via a smartphone app with a joystick module. The hardware assembly involves mounting and connecting all components, ensuring waterproofing. Software development includes writing Arduino code for data collection, transmission, and boat control, along with developing the mobile app and setting up the Adafruit platform for data visualization. Testing and calibration will be conducted in various water bodies before deployment for real-time monitoring. The benefits include immediate water quality insights, intuitive control, comprehensive data collection, and support for sustainable environmental practices. This IoT-based RC boat project will significantly improve water quality monitoring efficiency, contributing to the protection and sustainability of aquatic ecosystems.
