Answer: Yes, this year the contest is open only for people from India and ASEAN countries (Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam). Unfortunately, people from other countries cannot participate in this challenge.

Answer: Are you wondering if you’re eligible to participate in the contest? The good news is that we welcome anyone with an interest in building and problem-solving! Whether you’re a hobbyist, maker, electronics enthusiast, engineering professional, or researcher – of any age or domain – we encourage you to leverage this platform and showcase your skills.

Answer: Yes, you can register as an individual but participate as a team. You can have a maximum of 5 members in a team. The member names have to be submitted when you submit your projects, all members will get individual certificates.

Answer: No, participants need not pay cash or any other form of remuneration to participate in the contest. Your interest and skills are all it takes, to participate and win this contest.

Answer: Participants have to submit their project before the deadline to be considered as a valid entry for the contest. You can check out the contest timeline for more information.

Answer: The theme of this contest is AI and IoT on the Edge. All three development boards have well-documented resources to help you build tons of project using it. Additionally few boards also come with on-board cameras letting you to build and demo projects easily.

Answer: Yes, you can use any hardware components which are already available to you. Just, make sure you are using one of the three development boards in your project and it is purchased from DigiKey.

Answer: No, you have to only purchase the development board from DigiKey. Although, we would encourage you to explore the wide component collection available on DigiKey.

Answer: After registering for the contest, use the apply for hardware option to submit your project idea. If your idea is selected, CircuitDigest will get in touch with you to help you place the order for your development board on DigiKey.

Answer: You are competing against some of the bright and intuitive minds just like you. We believe in complete transparency of the contest and you will be able to see all your fellow participants and their submissions on our Participants and Submissions section respectively.

Answer: The contest will have three winners. But apart from that there will also be cash prizes for the top 10 entries. The complete prize details are available on the contest page. The winners will be announced on the contest page and YouTube channel.

Answer: The contest winners will be determined by our esteemed judging panel consisting of four members. Each judge will individually assign a score to each project, with a total of 100 points. The project that receives the highest aggregate score will be declared the winner. For a better understanding of how points are allocated, please refer to the Judging Criteria section.
